Full Centers and Read-Only Centers
XIRIS distinguishes between full centers and read-only centers. A full-center is a facility in which the exam is performed on the patient. This facility starts its workflow from the point of scheduling to the point of distributing the report to the referring physician. A read-only center is a facility in which the exam is not performed at the location. This type of facility is normally a Teleradiology or reading environment in which the radiologist receives the procedures performed at other location and returns a report to the facility. The workflow normally starts at the point the radiologist dictates the report and ends at the point the report is distributed back to the facility or to its referring physicians.

XIRIS is a completely web-based application designed to manage patient registration, scheduling, exam tracking, staff and resource management, and the generation of reports and statistical information. XIRIS improves the productivity of your
radiology practice with HIPAA compliant auditing logs and enhanced workflow tools to track all activities of your center. XIRIS
can easily be integrated into a new or existing center via its own HL7 Broker or DICOM Worklist Manager. It also shares information across multiple centers with Multi-center RIS-Backbone available in a variety of formats to fit your multi-center or enterprise model.

For specialized practices or consulting organizations providing only READS to facilities that require expertise, XIMIS has designed a RIS package that fits any centers needs. We recognize that some sites do not require a full and complete RIS so we can eliminate functionality you do not need.
